I have been a clinical aesthetician 17years and a permanent makeup artist since 2015. I also train permanent makeup artists of all levels.

I opened Ideal Skin in 2011 as an umbrella business of Super Hair & Nails, a family owned and operated salon in the Chevy Chase area of Lexington, KY of 51 years!  I am a Lexington native, UK graduate and  licensed aesthetician in Kentucky, Ohio, Texas and California.  I began my career at another spa prior to opening  Ideal Skin.

I have trained intensely with DMK paramedical Skincare, PCA skin, Rhonda Allison Enterprises and CIDESCO, the worlds major international Aesthetics and Beauty Therapy Association.  Then…I found DMK. 

DMK is the number one company in the world for skin revision and the only company in the world to utilize the beneficial effects of transfer messenger enzymes.  Where some cosmetic facial treatments may only act on the surface of the skin, DMK Enzyme Treatments works with the skin. The enzymes strengthen the structural integrity of the skin to create a healthy environment for cells to live and thrive in.

An established make-up artist,  I have trained  with celebrity make-up artist, Scott Barnes, as well as Estee Lauder, MAC cosmetics and Glo minerals.  I have trained far beyond the scope of Esthetics school and am considered a paramedical aesthetician.  I specialize in corrective facial resurfacing, problematic skin treatments and solutions and permanent makeup including corrections/ removal/ scar revision, waxing, tinting and  eyebrow shaping.  I use  a variety of high quality European waxes to accommodate all skin and hair types. All skin treatments and retail are DMK, with a few most loved PCA Skin treatments and products.  I am the only certified DMK skin Clinic in the state.

After my first course in 2015, I fell in love with permanent cosmetics. I have extensive training in all procedures & offer all styles of eyebrow, eyeliner, lip & scar tattooing. I am beyond versed in not only the art, also the science behind the beauty….it’s so much more than just a tattoo. Sadly MANY artists don’t know this, providing the wrong techniques using the wrong pigments & terrible long term results for trusting clients. I have studied & teach the chemistry, bio-adaptivity (or lack there of) pigment molecules & how they react & age in the skin, longevity & possible complications of permanent makeup applications in order to provide the best advice & results for the clients I love, respect & appreciate. Those who have trusted me & (humbly) made me the artist & trainer I am today…for which I am eternally grateful.

I truly LOVE to learn, believing you can always learn something from anyone, even a beginner. We are all in this together for the growth& betterment of the industry I love. Although I have trained in most everything I’m licensed to provide I’ll ALWAYS train & learn more…..I try to attend at least two classes a year. Knowledge is power & when you stop learning your craft it starts dying.

Live models are NECESSARY in learning tattooing.

I spent double digit thousands before finding the ‘right people’ with Good intentions & actual knowledge before finding my way.
