Training, Microblading & Permanent make up
The first full scale Permanent makeup academy in Kentucky, Ideal Skin & Ink Academy thoroughly prepares students for a successful career in the ever evolving world of Permanent Cosmetics. We have been training since 2019 & expanded to a more comprehensive program in 2022 with my first academy class February 2022. Located in the heart of Chevy Chase, convenient to downtown, campus and New Circle Road, we are surrounded by thriving retail and are the ideal location & demographic to launch your career. Jennifer Fite, owner and founder has been a successful aesthetician 16 years, permanent cosmetic artist 8 years and permanent cosmetics trainer 5 years. A firm believer in education and knowledge, she is dedicated to providing everything neglected in previous intro and advanced trainings.
You will learn a composition of everything learned in over 35 individual trainings. We are passionate about the importance of every level of professional permanent cosmetics including, anatomy, theory, ethics, business building, client relationships and retention, and individual creativity. Classes may be tailored to individual needs as well as sections for advanced artists with basic fundamental training, all new students are required to take the fundamental’s course to properly understand basic and advanced procedure training. Previous introductory classes at Ideal Skin have been only three days, a very light intro, requiring much additional training and self practice. As of 2022 courses will fully prepare you for everything to come including clients of your own (if applicable to your schedule and location) within the academy to build your portfolio.
All classes include live models. Fundamental classes include a student kit with GOOD, NAME BRAND, QUALITY supplies, knowledge of quality supplies ultimately determines the quality & longevity of your work, a supplier list is included in the manual. CLASS OFFERINGS & PRICING
**All intro trainings include fundamentals such as skin, needle, pigment, history, mapping, supplies/ vendor knowledge as well as a half day color theory.
**Brow trainings include microblading, combination brows, powder brows & Ombre brows.
$3999 FOR Fundamentals + brows, lips & eyeliner.
$3599 for Fundamentals + Brows & Lips or Eyeliner -
$3399 for Fundamentals + Brows
$2900 Fundamentals + single procedure (lips or eyes).
$2199 Single procedures (brows, lips, eyeliner, nano brows (separate from intro. brows for this advanced technique) for experienced artists. $1500 for previous students.
Classes include 2 apprentice procedures in addition to demonstrations during class time. Additional apprenticeship procedures may be scheduled after training for an additional fee.
$399 for Saline tattoo removal/ lightening.
ADVANCED CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE FOR LIPS, SHADED OR WINGED EYELINER AND NANO BROWS (MACHINE HAIRSTROKES).
Nano or machine hair stroke brows, also known as digital microblading. For students already familiar w/ a machine and creating brows. Nano strokes are a more versatile/ longer lasting way to create hair strokes.
ADDITIONALLY, WE OFFER A 6 MONTH APPRENTICESHIP.
Apprenticeships REQUIRE fundamentals training which may be completed prior to or during scheduled class and include a quality starter kit valued around $700-950 depending on how many procedures you are learning.
***Actual/ Certified apprentices under Jennifer are required 6 months w/ AT LEAST 20 hours/ week.
